Cub Scout Pack 85 – Skokie IL

The Derby is Jan. 21 Saturday.
Check in is 10:00 am and 12:00 starts the racing.  Hopefully all will be wrapped up by 3:00.
It takes place in the Middleton Cafeteria.
Friday night-the 20th there is set up in the cafeteria-volunteers welcome.
Saturday-the 14th is the clinic. 10-noon.

Each den brings food to share-
Tigers- Fruit
Wolves-Cheese/Meat/Condiments
Bears-Vegetables/Chips and Dip
Webelos 1-Drinks/Crackers/Bread/Rolls
Webelos 2-Desserts

There are about 44 scouts plus their families.

When: September 13, 2011 7:00pm-8:00pm PACK 85 meets at Middleton School on the second Tuesday of every month. New scouts are welcome at any meeting.

Flyers will be sent out to Meyer and Middleton inviting new recruits to the June Campfire event at Emily Oaks Nature Center. This is a wonderful time to welcome new kids to Cub Scouts. Please spread the word!

Celebrate your scouts’ achievements at the annual Blue and Gold Banquet on March 13th at Monastero’s Restaurant, 3935 W. Devon Avenue 11:30am – 3:30 pm.

RSVP by February 27th and checks are due by March 1, 2011.

The pinewood derby is a racing event for Cub Scouts. Scouts, with the help of parents, build their own cars from wood, from kits containing a block of pine, plastic wheels and metal axles. Cars can be shaped into a variety of fun designs, some made for speed, and others for novelty.
