Pack 85 Service Project

It’s Springtime!

That means that the Cub Scouts will perform their annual service project– spreading woodchips at Emily Oaks Nature Center on Saturday April 14th from 9am to 3pm.

No one stays the whole time. It’s basically, come for a couple of hours.

The boys should wear their Class B T-shirts (the cool blue ones), bring water, gloves if they have them, and sunscreen because it’s shoveling the chips into wheel barrels and spreading them on the paths. Possibly add work boots and long pants as a suggestion, because of the type of work they’ll be doing.  Bug-spray too.

Parents are encouraged to participate (make sure you dress appropriately). If the weatherman calls for drizzling rain, wear a raincoat!  Just check the forecast and use your common sense for outdoor clothing.

Everyone will have a blast.

Emily Oaks Nature Center is located at 4650 Brummel, Skokie.
